Role Description
This role is part of the Software (SLC) Delivery Service in the System LifeCycle Management group. SLC Delivery Service is responsible for authoring in scope Software Life Cycle documentation - both for GxP and Non-GxP systems, providing in region support to project teams, coordinating project deliverable content, managing project deliverables and schedule of activities, and attending status meetings. The authoring of documents will be performed by a technical writer.

The role is the direct contact to the technical writing vendor. The role is responsible for ensuring the technical writer is delivering on expectations and adhering to SOW requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess each project to determine approach and deliverables, then communicate to the project teams.
• Guide new system assessments and documentation if needed.
• Verify system and change characteristics.
• Determine the project costs.
• Coordinate and manage SLC deliverables, including oversight of technical writers to ensure documentation is correct and complete. Documents may include but are not limited to project plans, change requests, validation plans, user requirements, functional requirement specifications, risk assessments, test plans, user acceptance test protocols, project summaries, where applicable.
• Ensure documents are routed for review and approval in the documentation management tools.
• Provide document content review and guidance.
• Close out all projects and transfers ownership to the Business/IT System Owner. Provide any activities that will need to take place in the Operations/Maintenance phase.
• Provide metrics and oversight on SLC services and technical writers.
• Be point of contact for cross functional activities with project teams, PM, other service delivery teams and technical writers.
• Report status, progress, and issues on a regular basis. Escalate issues where appropriate.
• Regularly assess service processes and guide improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree with 6 years of experience
• Strong GxP/non-GxP documentation background.
• Strong background in managing teams.
• Strong background in SDLC and Software Life Cycle management.
• Strong background in process improvement (i.e., Six Sigma, Lean Methodology).
• Experience with managing vendors.
• Ability to speak/read in language with the regions preferred.
