Job Description
Job Purpose:
Functions as a team leader in providing subject matter guidance to more junior team members in performing all aspects of Materials management, cycle counting, and staging for production operations for vaccines manufacturing. Responsible for the movement of raw materials/consumables and finished product, while functioning as part of a high-performance work team.
- Work hours are: M-F 830am-5pm or 730am-4pm (will rotate coverage)
Major Accountabilities
- Provides subject matter guidance to more junior team members and allocate work as needed
- Identifies and provides guidance on risks inherent to the processing, handling and storage of hazardous materials
- Identifies process improvements for Support operations and provides solutions to improve efficiency and quality
- Subject Matter expert on all relevant material team equipment and operations and conducts training accordingly
- Follows all safety, GMP, and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Inventory control of materials, components/materials to include put away and storage
- Material requisitions and manufacturing storage area replenishment
- Using SAP - Issuance, returns and transfers of raw materials, components, supplies and finished product
- Physical inventory to include periodic cycle counts
- Daily inspections and operation of all powered industrial trucks/pallet jacks
- Maintains up to date training status in all required areas
- Ability to reconcile and investigate discrepancies of materials
- Ability to write reports and submit to supply chain with recommendations on path forward for discrepancies.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED with 5+ years related experience or associate's degree with 3+ years related experience or bachelor's degree with 2+ years OR equivalent.
- Demonstrated leader with experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or sterile production environments and material support operations
- Expert in all GMP /department documentation and ability to guide /train more junior team members on such matters
- Subject Matter expert in understanding and providing guidance on risks inherent to the processing, handling and storage of hazardous materials
- Experience with SAP required
- Experience with Powered Material Handling Equipment required
- Experience in a GMP preferred
- Demonstrated leader in the solving of problems that arise with little or no precedent
