I. JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Project Manager of Manufacturing, Sciences, and Technology (MS&T), the MS&T Project Specialist will be responsible for managing critical projects across all functions of MS&T. A primary focus is on supporting the MS&T Project Manager to ensure on time completion of milestones for all groups across MS&T, Validation, Technical Transfer (Process & Analytical), Automation Facility Controls, and Engineering Services for both internal and external projects. This individuals is responsible for generating project timelines in coordination with applicable project leads, tracking deliverables, managing CapEx accruals and memos, tracking change controls and other quality system related documentation, providing updates to leadership and other key stakeholders, and removing roadblocks for team members across the organization. This individual collaborates with multiple departments to ensure integration of new equipment, products, and technologies. This individual will also be responsible for support the authoring of SOPs, protocols, and reports as needed to support the needs of the business. The MS&T Project Specialist will be responsible for generating a training curriculum for MS&T Project Management and Engineering Services, and will continue to integrate MS&T.

• Develops project plans and timelines with input from all required departments.
• Schedules and tracks project milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Anticipates potential project/program road blocks.
• Creates and implements project plans and oversees their successful execution.
• Proactively identifies, assesses and manages project risks.
• Clearly communicates project status, issues, and successes to MS&T Project Manager.
• Applies project management best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects.
• Coordinates technical activities on assigned projects. Responsible for having an awareness of and ability to recognize technical problems.
• Responsible for the project budget including: planning, cost/resource implications of the proposed work plans and tracking expenditures.
• Leads or supports MS&T Project meetings.
• Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate colleagues, where needed. Provide guidance to cross functional teams to achieve goals in accordance with established policies, cost and schedule guidelines.
• Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts with/within the project team.
• Leads continuous improvement efforts.
• Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Works independently.
• Prepares and conducts presentations of technical information within the department, across functional areas to clients, and to senior management concerning specific projects/schedules.
• Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity, and rely on collaboration, limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or business preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management in the Pharmaceutical Industry in a Contract Manufacturing related setting or suitable experience
• Has a broad understanding of equipment and product lifecycle
• Demonstrated experience in building and leading strong cross-functional teams
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiating, influencing, and active listening
• Fluent with regularly used software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint, Veeva, and SAP)
