Eye Care Inside Sales Supervisor, Austin, TX

Allergan's Austin based therapeutic Inside Sales is a professional team of inside sales personnel that supports existing sales, operational, and marketing initiatives utilizing a set of approved best practices, job aides, and quality metrics to build lasting relationships with Healthcare Practices across the nation.

Our team is searching for high energy, self-motivated, dynamic individuals wishing to join a team environment that values individual and team achievement. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a continued focus on utilizing phone and other channels to create, nurture, and expand relationships with healthcare professionals to achieve brand objectives.

Successful candidates will possess strong verbal communication skills, be highly organized, flexible, self-starter and can articulate value on a consistent basis in order to foster growth of an expanding customer base through creating positive customer interactions and lasting relationships. Responsible for managing, organizing, and coordinating outbound and/or inbound call center programs. The Inside Sales Supervisor must ensure that program objectives are met. Directly supervise team of Inside Sales Representatives.

Core duties include:
  • Provide day-to-day supervision as well as ongoing training, coaching, and development for a team of Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Manage ongoing program support including, but not limited to, resource management, administrative duties, IT ticket submissions, and logistics support.
  • Ensure staff adherence to assigned work schedules, monitor attendance line, and maintain team attendance log.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for team questions and concerns, researching as necessary to provide accurate and timely response.
  • Ensure the Inside Sales team consistently meets and exceeds all metrics required for quality, productivity, and completed calls volume.
  • Review individual metrics and performance on an ongoing basis and provide team members with relevant and timely feedback.
  • Perform monthly one on one with direct reports.
  • In coordination with direct manager and ensure team adheres to performance standards; provide coaching and performance feedback; conduct performance evaluations for direct reports; conduct new hire interviews; coordinate new hire training; monitor and record absenteeism; conduct disciplinary actions, including terminations.
  • Ability to remain calm during all situations; provide constructive feedback; able to motivate, inspire teamwork and respect.
  • Perform training and quality monitoring for Refresh Concierge team.
  • Maintain training and reference materials, keeping current with updates provided by Marketing and Sales Training.
  • Work with business partners to respond to issues, examine options and alternatives, and make informed decisions addressing problems as they arise.
  • Successfully complete al required training.
  • Provide reports at designated frequency to direct manager and/or others as requested, as well as ad hoc reports as necessary.
  • Ensure team adherence to all call center policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality as it relates to the performance of others, individual performance, work related issues.
  • Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).


Education and/or experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience required
  • Experience leading sales team, especially inside sales, preferred
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Solid relationship building skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service skills
  • Outstanding communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess the ability to train and motivate staff members.
  • Ability to work independently, and exercise sound judgment with regards to issue escalation.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Salesforce preferred
  • Knowledge of medical device, pharmaceutical, or related field preferred
