As a member of Accounting Operation team, you'll play an impactful role in identifying, improving, and developing technology solutions that drive our strategic goals. We are offering a tremendous opportunity to be involved on high-priority initiatives and collaborate with colleagues throughout the company! We are working at the intersection of business and technology, you will lead a team that works with IT to transform business requirements and priorities into technical requirements, prototypes, and end-to-end solutions. This person will provide innovative solutions to improve Accounting Operations processes, software implementations, system operations & resource utilization.
A typical day might include the following:
  • Work with Accounting management to prioritize projects/tasks, prioritize and plan periodic short term weekly and monthly goals.
  • Understand processes, identify and assess appropriate automation use cases and prioritize automation opportunities.
  • Translates business requirements into various functional design specification, use cases, and workflow/processes diagrams.
  • Define and document business requirements, high level solutioning, business case development and execution.
  • Collaborate with IT developers to ensure implementation for financial systems, including: plan, release and supervision.
  • Lead internal team to build, document test cases and scenarios and help execute them.
  • Work with the Accounting team, PMO & IT teams to ensure alignment on vision, resources, security and priorities.

  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Technology (SOX) controls and expertise in software development life cycle, both traditional waterfall and agile methods respectively.

To be considered for this opportunity you possess a bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience or master's degree and 6 years' experience in finance technology ideally in a science or research driven environment with at least 2 plus years of people management experience. Expertise in ERP financial systems like Oracle, SAP, and Adaptive Insights is needed. We need someone with demonstrable understanding of automation technologies. These technologies include; UiPath, Alteryx, Automation Anywhere, reporting/data warehousing tools; Qlik, Tableau or Power BI. Possessing knowledge of analytic tools such as Python and R is preferred. Proven understanding of Oracle Cloud EPM Suite specifically Financial Close and Consolidation would be a huge plus.
