The Marketing Operations Manager brings coordination and consistency to AbbVie brand planning and campaign delivery by driving team collaboration, managing the multi-channel editorial calendar, and supporting a consistent and differentiating brand narrative. Working across corporate marketing, corporate communications, brand communications, HR, GA, affiliates, and other functional teams, this role oversees processes that improve content planning and brand marketing efforts across teams, resulting in measurable, audience-centric campaigns to enhance AbbVie's reputation. The manager not only ensures that projects and programs are coordinated and integrated, but also has responsibility for the technology and resources that enable corporate marketing's success.

REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Brand and Content Marketing

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
  • Own and manage the multi-channel editorial calendar, as well as tools and processes to support digital content publishing across AbbVie corporate channels in close partnership with social and web teams, as well as other functions across the enterprise.
  • Ensure delivery of assets and materials to support content calendar, running regular status or production meetings to ensure timelines are met.
  • Own and assist in facilitation of regular content planning meetings, as well as quarterly results and insights meetings.
  • Manage the production of story layouts (and possibly other content types) with outside partners, ensuring adherence to web design best practices and AbbVie brand style.
  • Coordinate with enterprise comms team on assets to support content published on My AbbVie, AbbVie Mobile News and News in Review newsletter.
  • Manage ongoing internal communications regarding content and marketing plans and insights, ensuring teams and affiliates have line of sight to plans and can leverage for their needs.
  • Own digital asset management for all content, based on affiliate and other function's needs.
  • Support brand governance through the management of AbbVie Brand Central and the brand mailbox, ensuring users have resources and information to present a consistent brand image.
  • Train and onboard stakeholders and content creators on the use of tools, processes and AbbVie style.
  • Partner with analytics team to develop tagging system/structure to align with audience-led content approach. Coordinate with analytics team to develop regular review and reporting of insights and results.
  • Manage budget coordination for design and agency support.
  • Support the execution of corporate advertising campaigns as needed.
  • Participate in content creation process (writing, design, project management) as needed.
  • Assist in launching new content channels and processes as needed (Podcasts, blogs, etc.)

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • 8 years of marketing experience, preferably in healthcare, B2B or regulated industry (either client or agency based)
  • Minimum of 4 years digital marketing experience
  • Knowledge of various project management technologies (e.g. Asana, etc.), preferably with hand on experience
  • Project and process management experience with superior attention to detail
  • Advertising and media planning experience preferred
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to manage a several concurrent tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize competing tasks
  • Experience supporting global clients
  • Self-starter, proactive problem solver, with a service mindset
