Purpose:

The Finance Manager oversees the financial planning and reporting for the International Balance Sheet, DSO and Headcount. In addition, this position oversees the Capital Authorization process for International, tracking RCE completion vs budget, ensuring compliance to policy, and preparing RCE submissions for Sr Management approval. The Manager interacts with all levels of finance and business management and provides required planning deliverables to meet AbbVie Corporate FP&A requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provides relevant variance analysis for each planning cycle and develops meaningful management reporting schedules and ensures accuracy and predictability of results and key metrics.
  • Prepares the Commercial B/S and DSO reports for month end reporting as well as lead monthly executive management reviews.
  • Administers the SOX survey and summarizes for the Commercial organization.
  • Responsible for quarterly Intangible Asset reviews.
  • Manages the Capital Authorization process including the RCE database, preparing RCEs for Sr Management approval and ensuring the Capital process complies with all policies and procedures.
  • Manages the Commercial credit limit process for each of the planning cycles as well as year-end goal grading process.
  • Collaborates and provides routine business support to enable informed decision-making.
  • Supports key projects and initiatives (e.g. planning system standardization, management reporting and optimization) and drives process improvements. Supports ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Responsible to manage a staff of 2 people.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive and related experience.
• Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills
• Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management and including the ability to listen well and to influence others that do not report directly.
• Proficient Excel skills.
• Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus.
• Previous supervisory experience desired.
