Primary Job Function

This position will be responsible for the coordination and consolidation of Plan, Update, LRP, and Monthly Reporting processes for Operations - Internal Manufacturing & Engineering. This includes continued integration activities and support for the new AbbVie sites comprised of 15 Global Manufacturing plants and various Headquarters functions.

Responsibilities include:
  • Key contributor for the transition from BPC (legacy financial tool) to Aspire. Provide guidance and training insights to the impacted sites.
  • Drive process and system improvements to ensure continued evolution of efficiencies while meeting the needs of the financial planning and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate and assist in the consolidation and preparation of management review packages for Plan, Update, and LRP. Work closely with sites to understand the business and analyze submissions.
  • Key liaison in support of the new AbbVie sites for Actuals and Planning cycles. This includes understanding their business and analyzing their submissions.
  • Preparation, coordination, and consolidation of LBE, which includes variance analysis as well as understanding the business to ensure commentary accurately portrays business issues.
  • Preparation and coordination of the monthly consolidation process, including the compilation and review of the monthly actuals package for the VP, Controller of Operations review.
  • Prepare the Manufacturing HQ P&L for Actual, LBE, Plan and LRP submissions. Review and understand variances from relevant benchmark.
  • Operate independently with significant interface among the sites and finance colleagues. Balance competing demands while achieving timelines.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support complex decision-making.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Proficient Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of SAP, BPC, TM1 and Aspire a plus.


Preferred:
  • CPA and/or MBA desirable.
  • Experience in plant/cost accounting is a plus.
