Summer 2021 Masters/PhD Internship - Bioanalytical & Biomarker Tech

Regeneron's Bioanalytical & Biomarker Technology Department is looking for two hardworking students to join their team this summer.
Project 1:

The Bioanalytical & Biomarker Technologies group at Regeneron is searching for an intern with a strong background in mass spectrometry and proteomics. The student will primarily focus on LC-MS sample preparation and method development to characterize membrane proteins associated with the design and production of antibody therapeutics. If this onsite internship gets changed to an online format, the intern will work remotely on mass spectrometry data analysis and visualization using commercial software and programming languages such as Python.
Project 2:

The Therapeutic Proteins Department is seeking an intern student to join our Bioanalytical & Biomarker Technology group. After remote training, the student will assist mass spectrometry data analysis remotely for one or more projects in a collaborative environment. He/She/They will support elucidation of potential epitopes for our candidate antibodies, validation of protein reagents used for immunization, and characterization of unknown proteins. This position will offer the student opportunities to have a wide perspective of the drug discovery process. Experiences with hydrogen-deuterium exchange (HDX) and bottom-up proteomics data analysis are preferred.

In order to be considered for either of these two roles, you must be currently enrolled in a Masters or PhD program pursuing a degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry or a related field. The student should have experience with protein mass spectrometry including data analysis. Proficiency in proteomics sample preparation for biological samples. Knowledge of Python or other programming languages is highly preferred.
