Urovant's lead product, GEMTESA® (vibegron), is an oral, once-daily (75 mg) small molecule beta-3 agonist approved by the U.S. FDA in December 2020 for the treatment of adult patients with overactive bladder (OAB) with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency and urinary frequency. GEMTESA® is also being evaluated for the treatment of OAB in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (OAB+BPH).

Urovant's second product candidate, URO-902, is a novel gene therapy being developed for patients with OAB who have failed oral pharmacologic therapy.

Position Description

The Director, Pricing, Contracts & Analytics reports to the Executive Director, Pricing, Contracts & Analytics and will build and manage support functions essential to the commercial organization within Market Access. The role includes providing leadership for key strategic business processes (e.g. pricing, government price reporting, patient support, trade, and distribution strategies) and operational functions (e.g. contract and rebate administration, pricing committee, forecasting, business analytics, and ensuring product availability). The Director will help drive the Urovant business strategy and will work cross functionally to provide support in execution of the strategy into operational action across product portfolio.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Pricing strategy and analytics
  • In collaboration with leadership, establish short-and long-term pricing guidelines for all products that balance marketing/sales objectives with financial objectives.
  • Partner with National and Regional Accounts to draft, review and approve all contracts per pricing committee decisions.
  • Monitor the impact of federal, state and local regulations, market dynamics and the competitive landscape on formulary coverage, market share and profitability.


Contracting Business Rules
  • Partner with National and Regional Accounts, Marketing, Sales and Legal to negotiate contract terms and confirm that all final agreements are accurate prior to execution.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for department including preparing pre-deal and post-deal analyses for contract terms.
  • Establish contracting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good contracting business practices.
  • Compliance with all contractual reporting and legal requirements.
  • Create and maintain SOPs.

Contract Impact Analysis
  • Model financial impact of proposed discounts.
  • Estimate changes in Gross to Net (GTN) and Best Price, etc.
  • Model changes to discounts based on changes to product market share.


Contract Administration System
  • Provides operational oversight for pricing, reimbursement, payer management, trade management, commercial supply chain and distribution contracts.
  • Oversee administration of contracts including data validation, accruals, invoice processing and reporting.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure proper forecasting, budgeting and accruals for all Medicare and Managed Care rebates, and other contracts.
  • Establish processes and metrics for shared services/data to meet internal/external client needs, chargebacks, familiarity with group purchasing organization (GPO) membership maintenance, and payer data and reimbursement.
  • Vendor assessment and recommendation.
  • Develops SOPs and standards.


Government Price Reporting
  • Responsible for all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements related best price reporting and all government price reporting.
  • Accountable for Government Contracting and Pricing including Medicaid, Medicare, Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), and 340B contract operations, and communications with respective government agencies.
  • Oversees the Medicaid Supplemental bidding process, including reviewing the analyses, gaining management approval, submitting bids.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of industry experience, biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience required, MBA preferred.
  • Experience with payer contracts required, government price reporting a plus .
  • Experience in Contract/Rebate Administration and systems.

  • Strong communication skills, presenting to both large and small groups along with excellent one-on-one communication.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously as well as other duties assigned by management.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Access, data editing software and other data management tools.
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau and Qlikview.
