The Senior Manager, Business Management is responsible for defining and managing strategic projects that are critical to Lundbeck's success. This role collaborates with cross-functional leaders and teams to lead strategic projects, while also serving as a trusted business partner. Focus areas include project planning and management, development of recommendations, ensuring cross-functional alignment, execution and monitoring. This role is also involved in defining and driving prioritization efforts; defining and communicating risks / areas of business concerns; defining and implementing mitigation strategies; and ensuring that communication is open and strong.


  • Provide project management support for the delivery of key strategic initiatives, including:
    • Manage project plan development and execution across the organization (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Business Effectiveness, Human Resources, Finance, etc.), ensuring that expected deadlines and milestones are met
    • Coordinate project efforts across multiple products within the Neurology & Psychiatry portfolios
    • Assist the Business Management team in defining project management best practices and tools
    • Lead people and teams through project work to meet defined objectives
  • Assess, lead and report on initiatives focused on Lundbeck business capabilities, focusing on those needed for long-term success
  • Work within Lundbeck to identify and prioritize strategic work and the role Business Management plays in the work
  • Partner with cross-functional business leaders in areas of thought-partnership and critical thinking to maximize the collaboration across the organization
  • Responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships within Lundbeck
  • Proactively and continuously identify and communicate program risks; develop and implement risk-mitigation strategies, as needed.





  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university
  • 7+ years of commercial business experience (e.g., sales, marketing, sales operations, training, commercial analytics, finance, etc.)
  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare-related commercial business experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience leading and/or participating in cross-functional programs and projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence without authority within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to define and organize priorities and related work
  • Ability to drive decisions and hold people accountable to agreed-upon commitments





  • Business planning, including development of strategy, market assessment, cross-functional coordination and tactical plan development and execution
  • Experience in the development, assessment and maintenance of an organizations' business capabilities





  • Willingness/ability to travel up to 30% domestically. International travel may be required.
