Specific Responsibilities:

A summer Supply Chain internship is available in the Global Supply Chain Department at the Foster City, CA, campus of Gilead Sciences. The candidate should be enrolled in a Graduate Program with a focus on Supply Chain or Business-related field.

Essential Functions:

Under general supervision, the successful candidate(s) will support Gilead's Global Supply Chain team with a focus on Supply Planning. They candidate may support generation of the Master Production Schedule as well as general support of S&OP and S&OE related functions.

In addition to these functions, the candidate will support / drive projects within the Supply Planning function of Global Supply Chain. Possible projects include:
  • Inventory Strategy Program
  • Network Cycle Time Reduction
  • Production Scheduling Rhythms
  • Supply chain metric refinement


Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
  • Must be at least 20 years old
  • Graduate student in related field enrolled in an accredited university/college; including enrollment in the Fall Semester after completing the internship
  • Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
  • Ability to complete 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and September
