Specific Responsibilities:

Training will include analytical laboratory technique, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and software for chromatography and design of experiments. The intern will perform R&D experiments under the direct supervision of experienced analytical chemists, and learn principles of liquid chromatography, assay/impurities methods, and multifactorial method development. The intern will assist in developing procedures that can be used across projects in Analytical Operations for using iChemExplorer in combination with Fusion to streamline the assay/impurities method development. The intern will organize these results into concise research summaries and provide a final presentation documenting the outcome of the project.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Undergraduate (or graduate student, if applicable) in the or related field enrolled in a 4-year accredited university/college; including enrollment in the Fall Semester after completing the internship
• Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
• Ability to complete 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and September
• Completion of at least 1 year of chemistry education in a Bachelor's degree program, including laboratory courses. Completion of coursework in analytical chemistry is desired to provide a background in operating principles of the analytical tools used.
