Specific Responsibilities:

A summer research internship is available in the EH&S Department at the La Verne, CA, campus of Gilead Sciences. The candidate should be enrolled in a related field in an Undergraduate Program with an interest in data analysis from a Safety perspective, reviewing Safety trends, giving presentations on trend reviews, and outlining best practices for data evaluations.

Essential Functions:

Under general supervision, the intern will:

• Input data

• Analyse data
• Build statistical graphs
• Interpret graphs
• Present statistical analyses to general audience

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Undergraduate (or graduate student, if applicable) in a related field enrolled in a 4-year accredited university/college; including enrollment in the Fall Semester after completing the internship
• Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
• Ability to complete 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and September
