Intern Job Description

Job Title: Intern - Quality Assurance (Data Science)

Specific Responsibilities:

• Complete projects as directed by the Quality Engineering team
• Work with large, complex data sets from multiple domains
• Combine data both logically as well as programmatically from internal and external sources

• Interact with cross-functional teams such as QA, IT, manufacturing, analytical operations, and the Data Science Working Group
• Develop quantitative models to address business issues using structured and unstructured data

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Science, Technology, or Engineering related fields
• Demonstrate knowledge of using common data engineering techniques (SQL, noSQL)

• Demonstrate knowledge of using common statistical programming languages (Python, R, or SAS)
• Experience with statistical and modeling techniques such as analysis of variance, sampling plans, regression modeling, and classification modeling
• Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
• (Optional but a plus) Experience with natural language processing, deep learning frameworks, and big data modeling
• Ability to complete 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and September
