The mission of our Drug Product Project Management team is to lead drug product lifecycle management by successfully leading projects that support tech transfer, novel technology, and process improvements. As an Associate Project Manager on this team, you would have ownership of novel projects with the opportunity to expand on and learn new skills. If you enjoy leading and taking initiative to drive change on a variety of projects, this role could be for you.

As an Associate Project Manager-Drug Product, a typical day might include the following:

  • Leading cross-functional teams and managing the planning and execution of activities for Drug Product projects related to the development strategy for at least one molecule-specific program (i.e.- Technical Transfers, Process Validation, new CMO selection, CapEx, Life Cycle Management and Continuous Improvement).
  • Collaborating with cross-functional departments as well as Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to plan, manage and drive project activities within agreed quality, scope, budget and time.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide variety of internal and external partners.
  • Ensuring outstanding quality and timeliness of project outcomes according to an overall life cycle management strategy.
  • Aligning teams and partners on one single drug product manufacturing project plan.
  • Ensuring meeting minutes and weekly/monthly reports are completed accurately.
  • Traveling up to 25%, both domestic and international.

  • Enjoy facilitating regular project focused meetings with CMOs and working teams (technical transfer, validation, new product launch, etc.).
  • Are able to coordinate contingency and risk mitigation planning for projects.
  • Are interested in potentially leading a team of Project Specialists who assist in managing sub-projects for these programs.
  • Have demonstrated strengths with strong interpersonal, cross-cultural, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit a degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in a sometimes evolving and ambiguous environment.
  • Are adept at fostering a productive team environment to one common project objective.
  • Take a proactive stance on resolution of project related issues with tact, diplomacy and composure.
  • Show resiliency and flexibility in the face of meaningful situations.
  • Exhibit confidence and a high emotional IQ.
  • Are proficient in sophisticated techniques with relevant software: MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

To be considered for the Associate Project Manager-Drug Product position, you must have a BA/BS, preferably in a physical or biological science, and 8 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Pharmaceutical industry experience is desirable, but relevant project management experience in other industries will be considered. PMP certification or MBA is a plus.
