Gilead Sciences is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to produce high quality posters, logos, infographics, and other visual/print media for the Medical Affairs team

Specific Job Requirements

Works under general supervision of the manager and with occasional review by more senior staff
Creates scientific posters and oral presentations for medical conferences
Performs graphic design responsibilities, which include the development of standardized templates, selection of artwork/images, design and layout, and editing of artwork/images, graphs and tables
Provides assistance developing and formatting PowerPoint presentations and Excel tables and charts
Work with internal employees, external investigators/vendors to create draft and final documents
Optimizes graphics for web and print production
Follows company brand guidelines
Develops, maintains, and communicates project timelines
Participates in the development and maintenance of the Medical Affairs SharePoint site

Knowledge/Skills

Strong graphic design skills and visual communications skills, including knowledge of color, typography, iconography, space, and texture
Experience providing on-demand graphical support to customers
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Experience with HTML and SharePoint is a bonus
Strong project management skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Must be able to work independently
Online portfolio demonstrating strong graphic and visual design, typography, and conceptual skills
Specific Education and Experience Requirements
Actively pursuing a BA degree or Masters degree
