Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Intellia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist to join the Translational Science Team. The primary responsibility for this position will be to develop, optimize, and validate bioanalytical assays to support late stage preclinical and clinical studies. Work will be done independently and in collaboration with colleagues to achieve efficient delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 therapeutics. Applicants should have exceptional research, organizational, and communication skills (both written and oral) coupled with a strong attention to details.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot ligand binding, enzymatic activity, and cell-based assays to support pipeline programs
  • Generate critical assay reagents (e.g. biotinylate, sulfo-tag)
  • Assist in transfer of analytical methods to external labs
  • Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of study samples
  • Conduct experiments, independently and in collaboration with colleagues, in support of project goals
  • Communicate findings with internal and external teams/partners in a clear and concise manner
  • Assist in maintaining general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance and ordering and receipt of lab supplies
  • Diligent and timely documentation of experiments in ELN and reports


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS in biology or similar area with 9+ years industrial experience, MS in biology with 6+ years relevant experience
  • Experience with proteins/antibodies and development and optimization of ligand binding assays across multiple platforms (ELISA, Luminex, and/or MSD)
  • Experience with cell culture and maintenance
  • GLP/GCLP familiarity/experience is desired
  • Knowledge of regulatory expectations with respect to bioanalysis/immunogenicity preferred
  • Experience with technology transfers of assays to CRO's is highly valuable
  • Must be a team player with good interpersonal and organizational skills
