Support internal and external training, education and division initiatives around SkinMedica®, DiamondGlow and Latisse. Responsible for the internal training, content development, and integration of the SkinMedica portfolio into the sales training continuum, Grow the SkinMedica® business by delivering consultative support and key device and product education to Allergan customers through National programs. Support the sales and marketing teams by providing consultative services to improve content development as well as the promotion of SkinMedica® portfolio on a National basis. Serve as an educational resource to the sales team with regard to the skin quality and skincare market, and in office retail expertise. Develop education and consultative resources in an effort to support the strategic key initiatives for the SkinMedica® brand.

Reports to the Associate VP of sales and works laterally with the sales, training and marketing teams.

Position Description

Sales Training
  • Works with sales training department to support, develop and execute training programs across the portfolio.
  • Works closely with SkinMedica® marketing team and sales management to ensure clear, concise, focused activity plans are produced, disseminated and understood by the SkinMedica® Sales representatives
  • Effectively integrates and manages SkinMedica virtual training into Sales and Training Portal Pages, LMS, VEEVA, communications, marketing and sales projects. Manages VEEVA approval of training course materials, presentations and new hire sales training LMS modules
  • Develops and nourishes relationships with SkinMedica® Strategic Account Managers to provide sales training with a clear understanding of field needs to support product positioning, to address competitive promotional efforts, and to assess the success of the various communication tools
  • In partnership with SkinMedica® sales leadership and marketing teams create and deliver workshops at both National Sales Meetings and POA meetings
  • Ensures all training materials and plans are aligned with legal, medical and regulatory requirements and Veeva approved
  • Works with marketing, legal/regulatory, Sales Area Directors, ABM's and other departments, as needed, to create and produce specific training materials

Customer Education
  • Assist the sales and management teams in achieving sales and market growth objectives by creating customer facing educational content to drive DiamondGlow, SkinMedica®, and Latisse.
  • Work with the ABM team to integrate SkinMedica into the educational platform for National educational seminars and in-office consultative advanced trainings.
  • Develop content and speak at Education Programs, including National Summits, and Educational Seminars. Provide leadership and management to meeting planning team to assist in program organization and execution.
  • Create educational buy-in promos leading the process for approval through regulatory, legal and operations.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying and valuing customer opportunities.
  • Encourage and initiate collaboration between Allergan Medical divisions.


Education and Experience
  • BA or BS degree in business administration or health related field. .
  • An in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the skincare and retail environment, including practice management and marketing. This level of knowledge would normally be acquired through 7-10 years experience in sales and sales management, retail management, medical practice consulting, medical practice administration, medical practice marketing or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Valid driver's license

  • Proven record of accomplishment in achieving sales, marketing and corporate goals with minimal direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated creativity, situation analysis/problem solving skills and analytical skill ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong presentation and training skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Broad business perspective, including sound financial skills, and a solid working knowledge of office operations and systems.
  • Ability to travel with approximately 75% overnight travel including some weekend work.
  • Ability to drive a car or motor vehicle with a valid driver's license
