Position Summary:
The Senior Buyer is responsible for all procurement related activities and supplier management of services, software, materials, and supplies, and ensuring continuous and efficient processing.

The Senior Buyer is responsible for all procurement related activities and supplier management of services, software, materials, and supplies, and ensuring continuous and efficient processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, investigate, and resolve purchase requisition and contract issues
- Create and issue purchase orders from approved purchase requisitions
- Coordinate, review, verify, and approve new vendor on-boarding
- Provide training and day-to-day support on procurement systems, policy and processes for business unit and/or corporate staff involved in purchasing activities
- Manage and improve the Procure to Pay process ensuring training, policy development, executed documentation, data entry, submission, order expediting, change orders, receiving and reconciliation of complex system issues
- Assist in RFQ/RFP process
- Manage existing supplier base cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Establish and maintain meaningful supplier performance metrics in which to judge supplier value
- Follow and comply with the Procure to Pay Narrative and SOX processes set forth by GBT
- Primary point of contact for supplier communication and issue resolution related to purchase order, invoice, and receiving discrepancies
- Work closely with FP&A, Legal, Commercial, Clinical and Tech Ops on PO/PR related issues
- Assist in monthly contract master and purchase order reconciliations and updates
- Comply with company health and safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Procurement, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Biotech/Clinical Procurement experience, a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and effective business communication skills
- Negotiation experience
- Familiarity with global procurement practices, contracts, laws and regulations
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams as well as the capacity to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing and sometimes unpredictable environment
- Outstanding organizational and detailed oriented skills
- eProcurement system skills, with Zycus and NetSuite is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on analytical skills
