Lead and manage effective training programs, manage the establishment of the Quality system, policies, plans, and accreditation compliance. This position manages the execution of training strategy and will maintain functional area training plans while maintaining focus to improve program design, development, and delivery. A key partner with both internal and external stakeholders, the AD, Learning & Quality drives innovation and adult learning best practices in managing all training programs across the site. The position is responsible for ensuring that operations is compliant with all applicable federal and state governmental regulations, HIPAA, as well as corporate and divisional guidelines.
  • Directly responsible for the effective organization, administration, training and supervision of the Training & Quality Department, total of (17) direct and indirect reports.
  • Represent the decision-making authority for all aspects of the Training, Quality, and Regulatory compliance programs for the site. In addition, provide training and quality oversight of all policies and procedures as well as maintaining ACHC Accreditation standards.
  • Create comprehensive training curriculum for all Pharmacy staff, aligning training development to business based on training needs, assessment and anticipated business demands.
  • Develop and deploy consistent methodologies for training needs, course development and delivery, and training program evaluation/effectiveness measurements.
  • Understand the overall Quality Systems (Doc Center, CAPA, Complaints, Exceptions, Metrics, Audits, change management) and alignment with AbbVie Operations.
  • Develop and maintain Call Center Quality standards and performance (Call monitoring, calibration, reporting, coaching) and partner with Commercial Brands for Rep Escalation and overall Quality reporting.
  • Project management and insights to PMO from a training and quality standpoint.
  • Provides assurance that operations and services conducted within the Pharmacy are in conformance with Divisional and Corporate Quality requirements and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Is the direct contact for the site in matters associated with governmental/regulatory/insurance investigations, audits, and inspections.
  • Establishes and evaluates quality indicators, trends, data measures, and identifies areas for improvement. Responsible for timely resolution of variance, incident, exception, and complaint issues. Develop and assure implementation of short term and permanent corrective actions for situations with potential business unit impact.

Qualifications
  • Degree in business, physical or life science, pharmacy, nursing, engineering, or related field if combined with relevant work experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Health Care or Pharmacy compliance requirements.
  • Minimum 3-5 years program management/supervisory experience preferably in Training and/or Pharmacy.
  • Position presents to large audiences including to the SVP Operations, so strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate.
  • The individual must possess high degree of integrity and good judgment due to the inherent gray areas and sensitivity within compliance, department personnel records, purchasing and accreditation standard requirements.
  • This individual must be adaptable and be able to work in a dynamic environment with frequently changing rules and priorities.
  • Must be self-sufficient, detail-oriented and be able to complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications including: MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
  • Certified Quality Professional desired
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. CFR 210/211, cGMP) as well as knowledge of the applicable regulations affecting the practice of pharmacy (federal, state, and local as well as HIPAA).
