The Specialist in RA & RDQA Collaborative and Visual Design Services aides in the completion of day to day, internal and external projects sitting on the Regulatory Business Management team. These projects can range from RA & RDQA SharePoint Portal and Team Site creation, content updating and light content creation, as well as workflows and other team initiatives all while adhering to AbbVie SharePoint designs, standards, and best practices. Provides end user support to RA & RDQA employees on AbbVie collaboration tools such as Microsoft OneNote, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools as needed. May be expected to self-manage and at times be responsible for delegating tasks amongst the team at supervisor's discretion.

Key Responsibilities include:

The Specialist: Collaborative and Visual Design Services is accountable to improve the business/end user experience with a forward-looking mindset and spirit of continuous improvement.

This includes:
  • Provides support for the RA & RDQA Collaborative and Visual Design Services team and serves as a team contact for the RA & RDQA organization
  • Administers SharePoint management and maintenance activities including content updates across all RA & RDQA portal, SharePoint upgrades and re-branding, per team objectives
  • Implements SharePoint design/standards, best practices, communications, and project management aspects for RA & RDQA SharePoint project related activities
  • Collaborates and maintains relationship with RA & RDQA IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of SharePoint design/standards, and best practices between the groups
  • Facilitates the project request process and project management process of his/her own projects
  • Provides assistance and training to all levels of RA & RDQA to enable the team to fully utilize and adopt AbbVie Collaboration tools.
  • Manages SP Site Inventory Audit for on-going maintenance of sites
  • Provides monthly analytic reporting
  • Consults with functional areas to develop understanding of the varied and complex business needs supported by the system. Responsible for determining how changing business needs will affect the system. Understands the role of the system in the big picture and provides ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of the system.
  • Participates in process improvement activities


Qualifications include:
  • Experience working in a complex and matrix environment
  • Degree in Communications or Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience is required
  • Experience in the lifecycle of a system; gather requirements, systems development, implementation, maintenance through retirement
  • 3+ years leading SharePoint initiatives, ideally with 2 years of Pharmaceutical experience
  • Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with knowledge of emerging communication trends and technologies
  • Experience designing processes, metrics and creating summary reports
  • Experience with graphic and web design
  • Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented
  • Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills
  • Must have a strong customer focus
  • Advance knowledge of SharePoint fundamentals such as sites (classic, modern), libraries, lists, views, forms, workflows, metadata, and web parts
  • Intermediate levels experience in Office 365, InfoPath, PowerApps, Power Automate, Nintex Forms for office 365, Nintex Workflows for office 365
