The Regional Associate Director of Business Development promotes our portfolio of products to key customers and builds successful long-term business relationships.

  • Responsible for achieving regional sales targets on a quarterly basis in accordance with the annual sales plan.
  • Qualify, establish, develop, and maintain customer relationships for relevant accounts within the sales territory.
  • Create and implement approaches for developing key account business by building trust and robust relationships with target customers.
  • Report to the Vice President of Commercial Development all relevant information relating to field activities, including customer feedback, competitive actions, etc.
  • Maintain full technical knowledge and understanding of the products and services with relevant scientific publications associated with the application of the company's products.
  • Develop and maintain the customer data base for all relevant accounts within the sales region.
  • Utilizes effective negotiation skills to generates results with positive outcomes.
  • Document all customer interactions in the appropriate contact management software.
  • Develop and maintain a business plan to forecast and achieve sales goals.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with geographic business development management leaders.
  • BS in biologic sciences, business, marketing or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP for quote generation and order placement.
  • 2+ years of B2B life science related sales experience; cell and gene therapy experience highly preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; exhibits focused listening and phone-based communication skills; displays strong selling skills including customer engagement & relationship building success.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications; proven ability to leverage digital technology and resources to engage in effective interactions with clients and team members.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply technical product knowledge to promote products in a highly effective manner.
  • Proven ability to work remotely while proactively driving growth in the sales territory.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability in multi-task.
  • Consistently demonstrate initiative, self-motivated with strong performance orientation. Effectively work independently and as a collaborative, results-oriented team member.
