Risk Management Manager - AML Site


What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world! In this vital role you will support Amgen Manufacturing Limited, Juncos P.R. facility to be better prepared to implement Amgen's Operations Risk Management program by providing program support to areas for risk prevention & control.

  • Accountable for implementation and maintenance of the Operations risk management program for the site and/or Quality, considering EH&S initiatives.
  • Perform analysis of risk assessments, maturity models, and other risk related tools
  • Facilitates the risk management governance team - providing risk activity review, prioritization, and risk program support
  • Works with the Risk Owner(s) to determine if a strategic risk assessment is necessary, using different risk assessment tools
  • Builds organizational structure, technical expertise, and integration with other site processes to ensure success, continuous improvement, and longevity of the RM program at the site
  • Acquires and shares risk information from network of Amgen sites to share and implement lessons learned and best practices
  • Is accountable for the provision of training to personnel involved in risk management activities ensuring that all Risk Assessment facilitators are trained or qualified appropriately before performing respective risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain a register of qualified facilitators; develop a program to maintain facilitators qualified
  • Maintain a site operations risk portfolio and monitors the progress of mitigation actions and evaluate the residual risk after implementation
  • Tracks all assessment work done and review it for accuracy and consistency
  • Ensures alignment of site activities with corporate policy, standards, and strategy
  • Develop and document risk management business processes in the form of process flows, SOPs/business practice documents, and templates
  • Works effectively with diverse departmental groups and levels of the organization.

Doctorate degree


Master's degree and 2 years of Risk Management experience.


Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Risk Management experience.

Beyond that, additional preferred qualifications are:
  • Educational background in engineering, risk management and/or project management
  • GMP regulated industry experience
  • Business Continuity and Project Management previous experience
  • EHS and Construction projects risk evaluation experience
  • Experience with diverse Risk Assessment tools and methods: FMEA, PrHA, Hazard Analysis, Causal Factor Analysis, Decision Tress, Risk Ranking Filtering, etc.
  • Excellent technical writing skills in English
  • Good organizational skills, detail-oriented & accurate, analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), facilitation, and presentation skills both English and Spanish
