Part of the corporate communications team, our communications intern will support a variety of communications efforts, from employee communications to media relations, as well as digital/social media and event planning. Our ideal candidate would be excited to experience a fast-paced environment, full of variety, urgency and shifting priorities, and eager to gain healthcare communications experience.

  • Write, design and edit employee communications content, including intranet articles, emails and presentations.
  • Contribute to culture initiatives and site communications.
  • Support public relations and earned media efforts, as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining SharePoint-based intranet site.
  • Support and champion company Yammer channel
  • Help create digital/social media content and support related activities.
  • Execute ad hoc special events.
  • Work collaboratively with agency and internal partners.
  • Perform special projects and/or other functions to support the business.

  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations or Communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong copyediting skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent PC skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SharePoint a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to take initiative, and to work in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
