The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner is a senior member of the Sciences HRBP Team. This team supports 3500+ employees and works collaboratively with each other and across the HR Centers of Excellence to understand the strengths and gaps across the Science functions. HRBP's develop solutions to tackle business challenges by creating intuitive programs that work to solve critical business problems. We need someone who is comfortable with being an advisor to executives, managers, and employees proactively providing genuine guidance and direction. Our ideal candidate will provide leadership and expertise across all HR subject areas to ensure that we maintain Regeneron's high-performance culture, the Regeneron Way.
As the Senior Manager, HRBP, a typical day might include the following:
  • Working with clients to help solve any people related challenges, keeping in mind precedence and business needs including partnering with internal HR specialists
  • Providing coaching to executives, managers, and employees with an emphasis on helping the person understand what their options are for each situation and how to demonstrate the Regeneron Way
  • Acting as the lead translator of business needs to the rest of the HR team to help craft company-wide HR systems and solutions
  • Partnering with recruiting to assess talent on a global scale and developing a strategic plan to either develop or bring in people to fill talent gaps
  • Participating in interviews for key positions, as well as candidate debriefs to help drive the best hiring decisions in a rapidly expanding organization
  • Onboarding new leaders and managers by partnering with hiring managers to facilitate and support a successful onboarding experience
  • Identifying needs (individual, team, and department levels) within client areas and partner with the OD Consulting team to craft solutions that will address business needs
  • Partnering with Total Rewards to define new roles, identify external comparable/market value of positions, implement annual pay for performance, market adjustments, and other reward/recognition programs
This role might be for you if:
  • You have proven a track record of taking initiative, ability to get things done proactively and the ability to prioritize the essential over the non-essential
  • You can take a step back and perform root cause analyses to inform data-based decision making
  • You are comfortable working within a variety of technology, systems, and data sets, including HRIS systems, and other people related systems
  • You are gifted with agile learning and the ability to deal with ambiguity. Translating sophisticated people and data scenarios into clear and coherent solutions
  • You can actively negotiate and influence others, demonstrating courage and the ability to effectively push back on "that's the way we have always done it" and can identify a third option that can meet all party's needs
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a scientific or HR related field (an advanced degree is preferred (MBA/Master's)). Minimum 10 years' HR-related experience within our industry or organization that supports and works directly with a global R&D organization is preferred. We want someone who has experience working with and influencing senior management, technical leaders, and technical staff in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry - using Korn Ferry Leadership tools is preferred. This role requires an ability to keep all clients advised and engaged across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
