We are seeking an R&D Specialist within in Neuroscience TFA to support R&D efforts on developing therapeutics for Alzheimer's Disease.

As an R&D Specialist, a day in the life might include being responsible for target discovery, therapeutic validation and preclinical development for novel therapeutics in Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases. The new hire will be also involved in developing new technologies that enables deeper exploration of key mechanisms and advancing more effective therapeutic strategies to treat neurodegenerative diseases.

This position might be for you if you have experience in:
  • Designing and conducting experiments to validate the target and study the molecular mechanism underlying Alzheimer's disease by utilizing molecular and cellular methods, neural culture techniques, and animal models of Alzheimer's disease.
  • Designing and conducting experiments to support new technology development and CNS delivery for neurodegenerative diseases
  • Western blot and ELISA
  • Molecular cloning
  • Immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry
  • Cell culture for both immortalized cell lines and primary neuronal cells
  • Animal handing, injection and tissue dissection
  • Performing sophisticated data analysis as well as trouble shooting under minimal supervision.
  • Keeping up-to-date and well-organized records of experiments.
  • Communicating and report study findings at the meetings

To be considered for this role, you must have an MS in Biology or a related field with practical experience in a research laboratory in the required activities. Must have at least 2-4+ years of relevant experience. Candidate should be highly proficient in biochemical/molecular or cellular biology methods. Experience in cell culture, and immunoassays such as Western Blot , ELISA and flow cytometry is also desirable. Prior experience in the research using animal models of human CNS disease and neural culture techniques is also preferred. Excellent verbal and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment are required.
