We find purpose and meaning in knowing that our efforts will soon improve the lives of patients and their families. With science as our foundation and empathy as our key guiding principle, colleagues become friends, managers become mentors, and with time, cancer becomes history.

Senti Bio is seeking a collaborative and passionate Research Associate to join our Gene Circuit Discovery group. The Research Associate will apply expertise in mammalian and immune cell culture (e.g. NK cells, T cells, Macrophages, and/or monocytes) to generate regulated cell and gene therapies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable executing in vitro experiments in mammalian cells including primary immune cells, communicating findings, and collaborating with Senti colleagues to push projects forward in a fast-paced startup environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will value and demonstrate Senti's core employee attributes: empathetic, collaborative, intellectually curious, and intrinsically motivated.

Responsibilities
    • Generate viral vectors for gene circuit transduction into multiple mammalian cell types including primary immune cells (e.g NK cells, T cells, Macrophages, and/or monocytes)
    • Evaluate gene circuit performance using a variety of in vitro assays including microscopy, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, and Luminex
    • Collaborate with lead scientist to analyze data and present results to downstream stakeholders
    • Document experiments by generating timely records of protocols and data using Senti's electronic lab notebook
    • Collaborate with your colleagues at Senti by coordinating with other group members and research teams to troubleshoot problems, develop new assays, and support cross-functional projects

Basic Qualifications
    • B.S. or equivalent in immunology, molecular biology, synthetic biology, biotechnology, immunoengineering, bioengineering, cell engineering, or equivalent

    • Comfortable presenting work to cross-functional groups

Preferred Qualifications
    • Comfortable with primary immune cell culture (e.g NK cells, T cells, Macrophages, and/or monocytes)
    • Familiar with immunology assays for cell surface markers, cytokines, cytotoxicity and/or migration
    • Experience with NGS sample preparation and/or data analysis
    • Proficient with lentiviral production and transduction
    • Familiarity with FlowJo or similar application, (Prism and Benchling are also a plus)

Salary & Benefits
