What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role in our Department of Inflammation and Oncology Research, you will investigate mechanisms of immune mediated pathogenesis in autoimmune, inflammatory diseases and cancer, and to discover and develop innovative therapies to treat these diseases.

• Excellent Research experience in molecular and cellular immunology, autoimmune diseases, cancer immunotherapy
• You will independently lead a laboratory group, as well as project teams, and will collaborate with other research scientists at multiple Amgen sites, including teams in other functional areas such as Therapeutic Discovery, Medical Sciences, and Computational Biology.
• You will perform cutting-edge research that integrates human genetics, immunology and autoimmune diseases, and will develop novel therapies including cell mediated therapies by using various innovative technologies and approaches.
• Expectations to publish and to present at national/international conferences.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree OR

Master's degree and 4 years of scientific experience OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of scientific experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D or MD, with postdoctoral trainings and research experience in the field of immunology, autoimmune diseases, molecular biology or biochemistry.
• Demonstrative track record of independent critical thinking and scientific achievement in research, exemplified by a strong publication record in top tier journals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and can work effectively in a highly collaborative research environment.
