Our Immunology Dermatology team in Lake County, IL is looking for an Immunologist who will make substantial contributions to the conception and execution of multi-disciplinary research teams in immune-mediated skin diseases within a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Immunologist with research experience in molecular and cellular Immunology with expertise studying adaptive and innate immunity.
• Highly motivated researcher with a deep interest in drug discovery and development leading to the identification of novel therapies to modulate inflammatory skin diseases.
• Comprehensive experience with preclinical models and in vitro assays using flow cytometry, immune cell co-culture and MLA in pursuit of defining the mechanistic cause of chronic inflammation and autoimmunity as it relates to psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
• Independently interpret results and draw conclusions from own multistage experiments and suggest, design and pursue relevant experiments that further project goals and work effectively with a supervisor and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Understand relevant scientific literature and apply theoretical framework to solving problems in a timely manner
• Contribute independently to multiple collaborative research projects within department and across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Position will be hired based on level of experience.

• BS, MS or PhD in Immunology, or a related field with typically 0-4+ (PhD), 8-10+ (MS), or 10-12+ (BS) years of experience.
• Outstanding oral and written communication of scientific findings and implications of data
• Highly effective collaboration skills as demonstrated by past experiences and publications a must
• Significant experience working on human biology as it relates to inflammation and autoimmunity is preferred
• Experience in both biologic and small molecule therapeutic research a plus
