JOB SUMMARY
The employee must have the ability to work rotating twelve hour shifts on a rotating day basis with customer service and product quality foremost in mind. Experience and knowledgeable maintenance technician in Critical Utilities and Pharmaceutical processing equipment that can work in a controlled environment that has closed space and cleanliness requirements. Regularly required to use advances problem-solving techniques during investigative inquiries along with computerized communication and inventory systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform preventative, corrective maintenance and day-to-day operations of all manufacturing areas and the support systems
• Maintain process control equipment and control loop systems, as well as prepare preventative maintenance documentation and SOPs within cGMP requirements
• Participate in cross-training and participate in special projects with facilities and engineering departments
• Participate in cGMP training and off-site training as they relate to manufacturing and seek ways to increase operational efficiency
• Perform technical and administrative updates to preventative maintenance plans
• Maintain training requirements
• Maintain a current and detailed knowledge of cGMP
• Participate in special projects as assigned by management
• Seeks ways to increase operational efficiency
• Perform various SAP functions to complete Deviations, CAPAs, and Change Controls and SOP revisions
• Provides technical support for engineering projects within their functional area
• Assist other trades as required

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

• HS Diploma/GED. Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 6+ years of related experience required
• Prior cGMP experience is expected
• Must be customer service and quality driven
• Working knowledge of the following maintenance functions:

• General Mechanical Troubleshooting/Repairs
• Production Support Equipment
  • Fermenters
  • Autoclaves
  • Parts Washers
• Critical Utilities
  • Water for Injection and Pre-treatment Systems
  • Clean Steam Generators
  • Clean Compressed Gas Systems
  • Reverse Osmosis Water Systems
  • Water Softening Processing Equipment
  • Passivation Processes

• Must comply with all applicable rules and regulations of Emergent and the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry. This includes FDA regulations such as cGMP, GDP, EH&S regulations, and company regulations such as the employee handbook
