JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for developing, implementing and leading the Planning and Scheduling activities for Arranta Bio Gainesville. This position will lead and oversee the supply chain management processes, procurement and sourcing, and cost and service level agreements at the Gainesville site. This includes overall procurement planning, vendor evaluation, selection & management, purchasing strategy, regular reporting of procurement status and forecasting, and involvement in negotiations.

The Head of Supply Chain will be also be responsible for the oversight and coordination of all Warehouse activities. This includes but is not limited to: inventory management, shipping, receiving, freight management, and special projects. Collaborative interaction with both internal and external customers is essential to the success of this role.

The Head of Supply Chain will interact closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Tech transfer, and all support functions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for leading the Planning / Scheduling and Supply Chain management at the Gainesville site.
  • Manage day to day operations to ensure departmental commitments and deliverables are achieved. This involves resource oversight, planning, delegation, prioritization, collaboration, etc.
  • Oversee the total inventory management process including but not limited to: weekly cycle counts, full physical inventory counts, posting counts, confirming tolerance ranges, recording variances, generating Zero Reports, performing inventory investigations when needed or required.
  • Working collaboratively with Manufacturing and Process Development, establish a schedule to meet contractual obligations
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing and Process Development to establish and maintain Bill of Materials for both Process Development and Manufacturing campaigns
  • Maintain warehouse and logistics Operations (including general shipping, receiving, and freight management) to insure compliance with cGMP requirements, standard operating procedures, guidelines, and policies.
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well all site safety requirements.
  • Manage chemical inventories so as not to exceed storage limits.
  • Manage reports of chemicals as required to support all EH&S requirements.
  • Maintain Departmental compliance on all required cGMP training
  • Oversee all customer product shipments, to include verification of documentation and maintaining compliance during “pack out”.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are followed for hazardous/dangerous shipments.
  • Manage departmental SOP's (creation, revision, etc.), policies, records, forms, etc.
  • Provide customer service/focus as needed in relation to warehouse/staging operations.
  • Represent warehouse and staging interests and concerns at meetings.
  • Work to resolve conflict between groups.
  • Encourage and enforce a culture of compliance regarding Safety, EH&S, Quality standards as required by cGMPs or other Health Authority' regulations, and company standards / policies.
  • Participates in Regulatory Audits.


Experience and Skills

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree, with 5+ years of Master Planning / Scheduling experience required, industry experience (preferably in a cGMP environment).
  • Experience planning and scheduling in a multi-product facility preferred
  • General inventory control process knowledge required
  • Good understanding of cGMP and other regulatory requirements
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Organized, Efficient, and Results oriented
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Build agreement via collaboration
  • Solid understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Pragmatic, proactive yet flexible approach in the working environment.
