Purpose Statement:

This role will be responsible for leading the creation, implementation, and overall training strategy for the Myelofibrosis Therapeutic Area. This role will also lead the training strategy for Oncology pipeline assets and indications. Will serve as strategic and value-adding partner to Oncology GBTs, IBTs, and other key functions. Demonstrate expertise in performance optimization, capability building and change management, providing high impact, best practice, integrated learning interventions which enable AbbVie to be ahead of the curve. A critical learning partner to the Global and US Oncology franchises ensuring the Brand Strategy and the overall goals/objectives of the GBT/IBT are translated into unique learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create the Myelofibrosis US-Global Learning Strategy and guide the development of content to ensure alignment to AbbVie Curriculum Standardization Guidelines. Learning Strategy will include new hire/onboarding training and a continuing education pathway and address learning needs of the home office GBT/IBT, Field Sales and Field People Leaders.
  • Develop Learning Measurement System based on the Kirkpatrick Model that can be used to analyze and evaluate the results of training and educational programs. System will be implemented across Oncology Training.
  • Manage the Training Budget for MF.
  • Lead Grade 18/19 roles that will be supporting content development, inclusive of AbbVie employees and contractors.
  • Serve as Learning Lead for MF and Epcoritamab
  • Oversee Oncology Core Learning Teams for all pipeline assets, inclusive of Companion Diagnostics
  • Create, lead and work within cross functional teams made of participants from Training, Medical/ Clinical experts, Marketing, Sales Management, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, MHC, other AbbVie Groups, and external vendor partners.
  • Subject matter expert in the Myelofibrosis, Heme and Solid Tumor Malignancies.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Oncology GBT/IBT to assess and understand the learning needs of the organization and develops appropriate learning strategies and plans
  • Create innovative learning solutions for all levels of the organization (brand teams, in-field teams, and other key functions) and always ensuring excellence in execution and that organizational and US and Global Learning goals are supported
  • Share agreed outcome metrics for Oncology core initiatives, results, best practices, and learnings across learning network at US, Area and Global levels.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships and external providers efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain a high level of Continuing Professional Development in Learning & Development, keeping up to date on industry trends and best practices

Qualifications

Required Education/Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree: MBA or related advanced degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of instructional design systems or extensive experience in training, development of training and curriculum design
  • Master facilitation skills including the ability to deliver programs to multi-cultural audiences
  • Networking with external key stakeholders, industry forums and learning specialists to inform a compelling and differentiated learning and capability strategy
  • Strategic thinking & business planning skills, necessary to diagnose needs, develop, direct and influence commercial training and organizational development

Experience:
  • 8+ years as Learning Professional
  • 3 years of Commercial and/or marketing
  • 2+ Years' Experience in Myelofibrosis and other Heme Malignancies
  • Working in or strong collaboration with Global Areas and/or Top 12 countries
  • Strong negotiation skills in achieving and consolidating cost efficiencies through vendor selection/supply management
  • Working in a high performing matrix organization
