Position Overview:

The Warehouse Supervisor leads the warehouse operations team ensuring safe, GMP compliant execution and management of operations to support GMP manufacturing, including but not limited to; inventory control, warehouse space allocation, material handling, receiving, stocking, picking, issuing and product shipping. Scope also includes developing strategies for risk remediation and mitigation, warehouse supervisor ensures strategic goals, policies and procedures of the organization are understood & followed when carrying out functions. Hires, coaches, trains, and motivates team members to successfully perform their job and promotes individual development through mentoring of both personal and team growth.

Job Responsibilities will include:
  • Manage team of warehouse associates through supervision, training, and leading two locations
  • Determine staffing levels, workloads, and training of warehouse staff
  • Maintain warehouse per GMP compliance
  • Provide direction to the warehouse staff as they support Planning, Production, Sales, Maintenance, Engineering, and Purchasing operations
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow
  • Maintain warehouse by receiving, processing, storing, delivering material, and shipping
  • Coordinate delivery, receivables, shipment requests and training with offsite warehouse
  • Coordinate with vendors and service contractors on delivery of material and equipment to MTEM and 3rd party warehouse
  • Collaborate with supply chain and finance team members to maintain proper receipts and delivery of material and equipment into accounting system
  • Work with Supply Chain members and other departments to maintain proper inventory levels
  • Supervise and maintain stock levels of research material
  • Assist in writing departmental work practices and applicable SOP's
  • Lead cycle count and assessing layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering factors for items stored such as turnover, size, weight, etc.
  • Develop and track warehouse KPI's, study records and recommend remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, expired and excess stock
  • Ensure outbound shipments are properly executed and tracked in a timely manner
  • Advise warehouse staff on proper methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock
  • Coordinate with purchasing and finance teams on returns of damaged material to vendors
  • Focus on compliance to all safety policies and procedures per GMP and federal regulations (DOT, FDA, DEA, Ex-US etc.)
  • Maintain and lead continuous improvement efforts and actively participate in inventory management software
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, which include SOP's, GMP Handbook and MTEM Safety Procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1-5 years related experience and/or training in cGMP environment; Education can be substituted by experience on a year for year basis
  • The following certifications are preferred: Dangerous and Good Transportation, 5S
  • Skilled in mathematical concepts and application at the college
  • Results oriented with strong sense of ownership
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management and scanning systems in an ERP environment
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to retrieve, analyze and develop inventory reports inside and outside of a Warehouse Inventory system
  • Ability to think creatively, outside the box without direction
  • Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires
  • Ability to perform more computer tasks and possesses knowledge of various computer programs (Prodsmart and ERP)
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately in English
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to display excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to work after hours or weekends in response to critical issues

Reporting Structure:

This position has supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to Manager, Supply Chain.
