The Commercial Information Technology organization is tasked with supporting the dynamic and evolving technology needs of the Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Medical business teams. One of the key areas that is evolving is managing data as a key asset and ensuring it is consistent, integrated and available to support strategic and tactical business decision making. We are seeking a Director, Commercial Information Architecture to help transform how Regeneron manages our internal and external data to enable our commercial business teams to use new tools and approaches to bringing innovative therapies to our patients. We understand how both structured and unstructured commercial data can be organized to be discovered and utilized throughout the organization while ensuring security and privacy. Regeneron's architectural approach is cloud first for scale and flexibility. This is a hands-on role with significant visibility and influence at senior levels.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:
  • Drive the overall information strategy for the Commercial organization, including defining a roadmap to extend, standardize and integrate a variety of internally and externally sourced datasets.
  • Help enable data assets including but not limited to syndicated data, marketing data, managed care network and distribution data, field and patient services CRM and others.
  • Partner with the commercial functions, Data Analytics Engineering as well as external third parties, to continuously validate and improve the quality of data shared to our strategic partners.
  • In partnership with Business, Data Governance and Engineering, help shape the Commercial data Catalog by establishing a Commercial data catalog including definitions and rules for use.
  • Govern the design of information flow and architecture to ensure compliance
  • Work with the data owners to ensure that data security and integrity are preserved as data moves across the organization.
  • Help define and implement the information architecture framework.
  • Operate as a Principle Steward in support of Commercial Data Assets/Flow and architecture that are supporting business outcome.
  • Create, maintain and govern data taxonomies, data Flow, Architecture references i.e logical /physical data models.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree with 15+ years relevant experience or MS degree with 12+ years relevant experience. Solid understanding of pharmaceutical commercial data and business processes. Strong knowledge of industry data providers, formats and standards. Strong knowledge of data integration/aggregation, data quality, master data management, data cataloging and governance. Demonstrated experiencing mapping out the Commercial data ecosystem and providing guidance on optimizing data flows and quality checks. Experience managing IT capability identification, selection and implementation. Ability to define a meaningful roadmap and work with functional areas to streamline and operationalize that roadmap. Experience implementing governance frameworks. Strong record of accomplishment in project and budget management. Change Management skills including the ability to communicate, collaborate and influence partners across the enterprise.
