Process Development Associate - Microbiology

General Responsibilities
  • Research and Development
  • Design DNA sequence, vectors and strains
  • Create constructs base in pDNA
  • Cloning and Bacteria transformation
  • Purify DNA
  • Cell Line generation
  • Production, and analysis of Research Cell Banks, including microbiological methods
  • Support Quality System.
  • Author and revise SOPs
  • Perform PCR, ddPCR, qPCR, Cloning, Transformation, Clone Selection, Agarose and Acrylamide Gels, Immunoblotting, Protein Quantification, Cell Disruption, Fermentation in shake flask or/and small scale Fermentor, small scale purification.
  • Prepare technical report or presentations.
  • Perform early stage of bioprocess for recombinant proteins and plasmid manufacturing in microbial platform
  • Generate information for regulatory dossier
  • Perform testing of products using general laboratory equipment/instrumentation.
  • Performs duties in accordance with established laboratory standards.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and solve routine problems. Interprets data based on knowledge and experience.
  • Assists in the recommendation of new methods for manufacturing and testing efficiency.
  • Support and coordinate deviation investigations and implementation of change controls or robust corrective and preventative actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Life Science -Molecular Biology- related field preferred.
  • 5 years minimum relevant experience.
  • Experience in Research and Development positions (Molecular Biology) in University, Research Centers, Biopharmaceutical industry or similar organizations
  • Experience in Molecular and Microbiology technics
  • High attention to detail with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize assignments in a multi-task position.
  • Motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and people/customer service oriented.
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Software Programs.
