Job Summary

Orchard Therapeutics is a fully integrated company dedicated to transforming the lives of patients with rare diseases through innovative gene therapies.

Orchard's portfolio of cutting-edge ex vivo autologous gene therapy programs has demonstrated sustained clinical benefit in over 150 patients across five disease areas. The pipeline includes Strimvelis, the first EMA approved ex vivo gene therapy for adenosine deaminase severe combined immunodeficiency or ADA-SCID and six clinical-stage programmes targeting neurometabolic disorders, primary immune deficiencies and blood disorders. The company has submitted an application for market authorization with EMA for LIBMELDY (OTL-200) targeting metachromatic leukodystrophy or MLD in November 2019, and an approval is anticipated by the end of 2020. Further submissions for a BLA and an MAA are planned in 2021 for its programme in Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (OTL-103).

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and team-oriented individual for the newly established position of Senior Manager, Global Distribution, reporting to the Director, Global Distribution within the Global Supply Chain and Business Operations team, to be based at the London office or remote. This individual will be responsible for end to end order management and patient scheduling in coordination with Supply Chain Operations ensuring compliance to protocols. This will include building strong internal and external relationships with Qualified Treatment Centers, Supply Chain Operations, Quality and Country Leads throughout the Patient and Product Journey.

Requirements

Key elements and responsibilities
  • Develop trusted relationships with qualified treatment centers to ensure seamless order processing and patient scheduling. Partner closely with the Commercial, Medical and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturing slots are aligned with patient scheduling.
  • Initiate Chain of Identity (COI) for each patient treatment and manage COI traceability and Chain of Custody (COC) processes throughout the entire patient and product journey to ensure safe and compliant patient treatment. Work closely with Supply Chain and QA to review and monitor COI and COC documentation to ensure patient safety and compliance throughout each patient journey
  • Partner with EU based wholesale distributor on order management activities
  • Lead key distribution projects including integration of new products and readiness for scaleup of launches including expanding to other regions.
  • Drive process improvement and standardization for global internal orders.
  • Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management

Required Knowledge
  • 5-10 years of Supply Chain Distribution and Customer Operations experience gained through board and deep experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Must be able to: multi-task, be flexible, work in a close-knit team-oriented atmosphere
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent pharmaceutical experience
