Director, Commercial Communications

The Director, Communications for Allergan Aesthetics is based in Madison, NJ and is a key contributor on the Communications & PR team reporting to the Executive Director, Communications. The role is supports commercially-related communications supporting the global aesthetics commercial organization.

Main Areas of Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and execute proactive communication strategies, programs and tactics.
  • Through communications, work to maintain Allergan Aesthetics' position as a leader.
  • Support executive communications and presentations and share appropriate messaging.
  • Build a network with internal business customers to develop and align messages, communication strategies and support communications, working cross-functionally and acting as a liaison.
  • Represent the global organization on the development of company-wide materials and philanthropic-based initiatives.
  • Manage communications vendors in developing strategies, plans and materials, as well as in executing initiatives and programs.
  • Work on any relevant crisis management and action teams representing communications and spearheading any reputational programs.
  • Develop, implement and maintain appropriate metrics to evaluate impact and effectiveness of communications.
  • Proactively identify, track and report on relevant industry and competitive news and measure results for informing strategic adjustments in messaging and positioning.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.



The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
  • Minimum 10 years of communications experience, preferably in a corporate or consultative environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree with Preferred education in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 10 years communications and/or commercial experience, preferably in a corporate, consultative or agency environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
