Job Description

Job Summary:

This Investigator is a responsible for development and performance of mRNA vaccine and adjuvanted protein vaccine formulation and delivery technology, to support vaccine discovery and development.

Major Responsibilities:

mRNA vaccine formulation and delivery development
  • Development of delivery technology eg. Lipid nanoparticle, for efficient and safe delivery of mRNA vaccine.
  • Development of mRNA vaccine formulation to improve vaccine stability.

Vaccine formulation to support vaccine development
  • Development and performance of mRNA vaccine formulation, biophysical characterization and stability evaluation to support vaccine process development.
  • Performance of mRNA vaccine and adjuvanted protein vaccine formulation to support vaccine preclinical development in animal models.

Documentation and presentation of scientific results
  • Write experimental protocols and prepare internal reports. Maintain lab notebooks.
  • Present research project progress within and beyond Research.
  • Lead technical advancements and publications.
  • Interact with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders as key contact.
  • Interact with external collaborators as key contact.

Lab management
  • Maintain functional laboratory equipment and follow HSE regulation.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Biomedical engineering, Biochemistry or a related field
  • 0-3 year academic or pharmaceutical/biotech experience in biologics formulation and delivery
  • Strong knowledge and experience with nanoparticle fabrication and characterization is required.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with medicinal chemistry especially lipid chemistry is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with mRNA molecular biology and biochemistry are desired.
  • Creative and the ability to generate accurate and reproducible results along with multi-tasking and working effectively in a fast-paced environment are critical.
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills and ability to work in teams is essential.
