Aromyx Corporation is a cutting-edge early stage biotech startup that quantifies taste and smell via synthetic biology and data science to detect diseases and accelerate product development for pharma, agriculture, automotive, and consumer packaged goods industries. Our technology uses receptor biosensor assays to replicate the biology of the human nose. Data output is then interpreted via an artificial intelligence and machine learning engine to provide actionable insights to our customers.

Aromyx invites applications from laboratory-based scientists to join our biotechnology group and support the company’s growing discovery biology and commercial needs. This position will focus on human olfactory receptor (OR) function relevant to Aromyx’s platform for quantifying odors. This individual will work in close collaboration with management, senior scientists, and research assistants to implement olfactory receptor assays in research & development.

Specific requirements:

  • PhD in any major discipline in life science (preferably biochemistry, cell biology or neuroscience)

  • Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture is a must. High throughput screening, molecular, biochemical, and cellular techniques including , western blotting, cloning, immunostaining, microscopy and plate-based assays are good to have.
