Senti Biosciences is looking for an experienced Sr. Human Resources Manager/Human Resources Business Partner who will work closely with the Head of People to complete the establishment of a successful, employee-oriented Human Resources department.

In this role, you will work directly with Senti's Executive Management team and be a strong subject matter expert and present ideas and initiatives to promote the effectiveness of the HR Department. You will use your experience and knowledge to transform the existing HR Department into an employee-focused resource for the company. You will use your expertise creating initiatives and developing training to elevate the department to be a business partner for all employees.

The ideal candidate will have a superior level of experience in all areas of Human Resources and will be able to present information, ideas, and suggestions to Executive Management using data and analytics. This candidate will have a strong personal presentation and communication style and have the ability to gain the trust of managers across all areas of the organization.

    • Human Resources Initiatives
    • Management of Human Resources Department personnel, including goal setting, performance review, career progression, and training
    • Provide Executive Management team with reporting regarding turnover/retention/attrition, and employee engagement
    • Stay aware of new industry trends and suggest and implement those that would be of benefit to the company
    • Provide comprehensive compensation and benefits analyses to Executive Management and make suggestions for improvements
    • Provide insight and input regarding annual department budget

    • Creation and Implementation of New Initiatives
    • Provide strategic and tactical expertise to company Leadership teams in the areas of performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and conflict management
    • Spearhead programs related to employee engagement, learning and development, leadership development, and employee recognition and rewards
    • Lead the promotion of the company culture and ensure that company core values and ethical practices are being showcased to those outside the company and that employees are embracing the culture during interactions with external and internal customers
    • Implement and provide training to management regarding diversity and inclusion initiatives that would be beneficial to ensuring a strong and diverse workforce

    • Recruiting and Onboarding
    • Work with Talent Acquisition team to ensure that recruiting efforts and hiring strategies deliver quality hires through strong diversity and inclusion efforts and effective interviewing practices
    • Work with the Talent Acquisition Team and Talent Management team to develop and implement new on-boarding and new hire orientation practices that focus on employee experience
    • Work with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management to determine best practices to ensure employee retention

    • Management Training
    • Take the lead in creating and providing management training regarding the company's performance management processes
    • Provide training and assistance to department managers to develop short-term and long-term individual and departmental goals and objectives to help each department successfully achieve business objectives
    • Assist managers with developing appropriate employee career development plans

    • Employee Engagement and Benefits
    • Be an active participant in investigations of workplace disputes, grievances, and harassment and ethics violations and be a trusted partner to resolve any issues
    • Manage and oversee worker's compensation reporting and case monitoring
    • Manage open enrollment, benefits, and leave administration policies and rollout
    • Perform regular check-ins and employee engagement surveys to determine the health of the company's culture and adjust or suggest/implement improvements as needed

    • Policy and Procedure Development and Management
    • Ensure that the Human Resources Department remains in compliance with state and federal regulations
    • Act as the subject matter expert and provide guidance to management regarding compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, DOL, and OFCCP regulations
    • Be a key partner in the creation and continuous improvement of Human Resources strategies and programs related to interacting with employees

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
    • 8 years of experience developing, implementing, and executing human resources strategies such as recruitment, retention, on-boarding, performance management, training, policy development, and employee relations
    • Solutions oriented manager with demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures and implement organizational change
    • Expert level knowledge of employment laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO/AAP, Workers Compensation, unemployment and labor relations, and COBRA administration, wage and hour laws, risk management etc.
    • Strong management skills and the ability to communicate and build trust with all levels of the organization
    • Proven ability to establish and analyze KPI's and data

Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in the biotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceutical and/or life sciences industries
    • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
