We have the following exciting opportunity in our Foster City, CA location:

Project Manager - Market Access, HIV, PrEP

The Project Manager role is a tactical role and part of our expanding build of the US marketing team for the support of our HIV Treatment and HIV Prevention medications. As part of the Market Access Team in our HIV Franchise, this individual will assume key responsibilities supporting net revenue, coverage, and market share goals for the Gilead HIV Treatment and Prevention portfolios. The successful candidate is a dynamic, experienced individual with proven ability to develop and pull through key initiatives in portfolio access management.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution and roll out of appropriate access messaging, programs, and tactics (print and digital) for Plan of Action (POA) meetings for HIV Treatment and PrEP business units, including routing through PRC and/or Legal for approval and working in collaboration with Commercial Learning and Development (Training).
  • Works well cross functionally with internal stakeholders such as Regulatory, Medical, Legal, Managed Markets, Market Research, Training, Sales, and Multiple Field Teams.
  • Superior interpersonal skills with ability to lead, resolve conflict, and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of disciplines, levels, and cultures.
  • Can effectively compile and analyze multiple data sources to support team in developing insights and measuring performance of different programs and tactics as directed by senior team members.
  • Leads and implements internal communications plan related to market access in support of the marketing strategies.
  • Effectively manages agency partners and outside vendors to produce deliverables on strategy within timelines and budget
  • Helps analyze moderately complex problems and situations, provides logical recommendations and leads any required action planning.
  • Participate in cross functional sub-teams to ensure alignment and appropriate execution on brand plan; become a trusted partner and contributor in this setting.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports industry trends and competitive practices; and leanings from our internal market research team to inform recommendations.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of 7 years related pharmaceutical industry experience including expertise in access strategy; MBA/MS preferred with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in market access and/or pharmaceutical sales is required.
  • Strong understanding of the current market access landscape and the various market/distribution channels and pathways for brand choice is required.
  • Proven project management skills including timeline and budget management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, plan execution and performance management.
  • Must possess an aptitude for creative thinking and problem solving.
  • Must be able to adapt and thrive within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing are required
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Breadth of experience across commercial functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Marketing, Reimbursement, etc.)
  • Therapeutic area specific experience (HIV Treatment and/or HIV Prevention) a plus.
  • This position may require up to 25% domestic travel.
