Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated leader to join us as a Senior Director of Supply Chain - Network Planning and Strategy. The Senior Director will have responsibility for leading the S&OP and Network Planning teams to ensure clinical and commercial patient demand are supported with available capacity to manufacture product in S&OP horizon and robust supply models for LRP. Communication and collaboration across functions/regions, critical thinking, analytical skill set and business case modeling capability are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities of the Senior Director of Supply Chain - Network Planning and Strategy include:
  • Lead monthly S&OP process and meetings to routinely review clinical and commercial demands, alignment with manufacturing capacity, and resulting financials to give a full view of the operational plan and support management decision making
  • Critically review commercial demand forecasts in close collaboration with Commercial teams. Consolidate global commercial and clinical demand
  • Develop site supply plans and analyze site manufacturing capacity to ensure sufficient clinical and commercial capacity to meet forecasted patient demand
  • Proactively identify and mitigate any potential capacity constraints
  • Synthesize information and test assumptions to ensure demand and supply plans are sound and rigorous
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Product Sciences, Finance and others to align on assumptions and plans that impact demand and supply
  • Lead and Support LE and LRP processes with commercial and clinical
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the demands of cell therapy manufacturing
  • Define and analyze key performance metrics and trends to drive improvements in capacity utilization and 'vein-to-vein' performance
  • Conduct analyses of capacity, scenarios to develop supply chain and manufacturing strategies
  • Objectively evaluate options/trade-offs and develop executive management-level recommendations
  • Deliver presentations and make recommendations to Executive and Senior Leadership
  • Develop/evolve roadmap for planning system implementation and play a key business role in implementation


Requirements:

PhD degree with 12+ years' experience with operations and/or GMP processes and/or supply chain planning and/or demand and/or supply planning

OR

MA / MS degree with 12+ years' experience with operations and/or GMP processes and/or supply chain planning and/or demand and/or supply planning

OR

BS / BA degree with 14+ years' experience with operations and/or GMP processes and/or supply chain planning and/or demand and/or supply planning

OR

High School Degree with 20+ years' experience with operations and/or GMP processes and/or supply chain planning and/or demand and/or supply planning

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business management (MBA) with a degree in Science or Engineering is a plus
  • 10+ years of combined experience in an operations role and life sciences industry
  • Knowledge of end to end supply chain and experience with commercial launch and lifecycle management
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across different stakeholders (Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Supply Chain and Facilities)
  • Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex problems using multiple sources of information
  • Good business acumen, ability to think strategically and analytically, including financial analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including presentations and ability to influence all levels of staff, including executives
  • Skilled with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while delivering a timely and high quality end work product
  • Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal direction, applying judgment with limited information or guidance
  • Works well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment and enthusiastic team player
  • Experience developing and mentoring staffwith proven leadership skills and organization management experience
