Reporting to the Senior Director, Portfolio Strategy & Market Planning, the Senior Manager, Commercial Insights & Analytics will be responsible for supporting the development of portfolio-wide strategic and analytic deliverables. The role will work cross-functionally to provide commercial insights and analytic inputs to facilitate portfolio planning and pipeline decision making by Product Development Teams (PDTs).

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate asset prioritization and decision making across Arcus' portfolio through the delivery of market insights and analytic outputs
- Develop forecasts, execute primary/secondary market research, facilitate competitive intelligence gathering and conduct data analytics as required
- Support the assessment of various development opportunities by working with Corporate Development, Clinical and Commercial teams as necessary
- Manage competitive intelligence vendors and ensure appropriate tracking of competitor activities relevant to Arcus' clinical and preclinical programs
- Synthesize CI information into concise therapeutic area landscape and benchmark analyses to facilitate discussions on new target selection, clinical development and commercialization strategies
- Generate strategic business and competitive insights to support ad hoc business development, investor relations and corporate strategy tasks
- Manage external data vendors and service providers
- Ensure all data sources, market tracking, forecasts and other outputs adhere to high quality standards
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- BS/BA degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS, PhD)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in biotech, pharma, life science consulting / banking or other relevant role
- Experience with forecasting, analytics, primary market research, competitive intelligence and related disciplines required
- Knowledge of oncology market and drug development highly desired

- Competency in distilling large volumes of information to generate concise and actionable business insights and recommendations
- Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills with ability to address to executive and technical audiences
- Ability to understand and interpret scientific and clinical data at a high level
- Self-starting, taking initiative to stay on top of pharmaceutical/biotech industry landscape, research and business development trends
- Ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders
- Up to 20% travel may be required (post-pandemic)
