Essential Duties and Job Functions:

Identify training needs of areas of responsibility and ensure development of high-quality induction and on-going training interventions to meet these

Invest 70% of time in field (1:1 field coaching) to:

Plan and schedule based on the Business Unit needs

Ensure each TS has clear objectives per call together with the review of achievements/measures of success

Support to the Sales Managers in the Coaching of the Gilead Stakeholder Interaction Model

Provide constructive feedback on strategy and customer insight to relevant Brand Team Members

Report to the Business Unit Directors (or GM) weekly or monthly about the evolution of the field coaching

Ensure TSs are developing excellent selling skills, disease & brand knowledge and customer insight to deliver effectively high impact calls in a competitive environment

Lead and manage induction training on the brand/customer for new Commercial hires (10%).

Work in partnership with the Brand Team to:

Ensure training programmes are aligned to key brand/customer strategy

Ensure campaigns are developed that maximise the whole Gilead Stakeholder Interaction Model

Create training and coaching materials for field personnel which effectively translate the brand into all elements of the Gilead Stakeholder Interaction Model by providing accurate and persuasive information about products and services in the responsibility therapeutic areas

Coordinates the involvement of internal and external training participants (e.g., speakers, role play participants, etc.).

Works with outside vendors and internal medical experts to design and construct training materials on therapeutic areas and specific Gilead products.

Ensure continual personal expertise in brand and disease knowledge, selling skills and customer insight, and coaching/training (10%)

Manages multiple projects and priorities.

Help create a culture where individuals take more responsibility for their own learning and development

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Several years of related experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry and a BS or BA degree, including 3+ years of successful Field Sales experience

Strong commercial training skills and thorough knowledge and/or expertise in each area (e.g., commercial skills, core business skills, specialized skills, etc.)

Desirable high-level expert in sales coaching and selling skills

High level of organisational & problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills in order to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict, and drive consensus amongst disparate groups of individuals.

Understands the different styles of learning to ensure all individuals are able to increase their own personal knowledge and skills

Excellent planner, able to formulate, develop and execute training strategy, and effectively manage multiple projects/priorities.

Strong familiarity and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for sales (and other) training.

Demonstrates ability to conceive, develop and implement training plans of action on time and within budget.

Able to lead in a matrix team.
