Director, Key Customer Marketing - Women's Health

Myovant was founded in the spring of 2016 and just a few months later, in October 2016, completed the largest biotech IPO of the year. Since then the company has been on a rapid growth trajectory and is on track to become an exciting new success story. Myovant has already shown positive data for 2 separate Phase 3 clinical trials for relugolix in uterine fibroids, two additional Phase 3 trials in Endometriosis and a Phase 3 clinical trial in prostate cancer. Each of these indications represents a major commercial opportunity for which the company has retained full US rights. In addition, Myovant has global rights to a second product candidate, MVT-602, which is being developed for the treatment of female infertility as part of assisted reproduction.

We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Director, Key Customer Marketing for Women's Health. The position will report to the Executive Director, Women's Health Marketing. The location of this position is in Brisbane, CA.

Summary Description

The Director, Key Customer Marketing will act as an important member of the Women's Health Marketing Team, leading many key customer activities as we plan to launch relugolix combination therapy for Uterine Fibroids in 2021 and Endometriosis in 2022. This person will be responsible leading all key customer activities - for establishing and developing strategic relationships with important HCP Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the women's health market, leading the development and implementation of UF peer-to-peer educational programs, leading the planning of HCP advisory board meetings, and partnering cross-functionally on all congress and society efforts. This person is also a caring leader who knows how to create an environment where people can thrive. The role will collaborate closely with the broader Women's Health Marketing team, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Business Analytics, Legal and Regulatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop team of 2-3 Key Customer marketers to do meaningful work, have significant organizational impact, and continue to develop themselves at Myovant
  • Lead creation of commercial thought leader strategy
  • Develop mechanisms to understand commercial advocacy and lead internal efforts to bring transparency and intentionality in order to further our thought leader strategy
  • Accountable for coaching and leading team on all commercial aspects of Key Customer Marketing, including managing our overall thought leader approach and operations, advisory boards, congresses and societies, commercial speaker programs, and related strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Lead team effort of strategic identification and assessment process of KOL development, establishing criteria for commercial KOLs in partnership with medical affairs and other cross functional stakeholders
  • Managing implementation of KOL criteria for commercial purposes
  • Lead creation of annual commercial advisory board plan in partnership with commercial leadership and partners, focusing on the most relevant and actionable commercial strategies with national, regional, and local implementation
  • With your team, function as day-to-day marketing lead for commercial speaker program, identifying and driving solutions as problems or challenges occur.
  • Lead team to create and manage commercial society and congress engagement plan, inclusive of organizational goals, operational approaches, tactical execution, and relationship management
  • Develop relationships with leaders of local, regional, and national societies and congresses
  • Lead management of annual congress plan calendar along with capturing all past and future commercial congress engagements
  • Attend 4-8 conferences per year in order to learn more about thought leaders, support commercial execution, gain meaningful commercial insights.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with thought leaders in order to further commercial objectives and represent Myovant

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements
  • Experience creating and deploying key customer strategies
  • Strong marketing background with tactical experience in key customer marketing.
  • Track record of building robust relationships with KOLs
  • Experience developing and executing launch strategies and plans for a blockbuster Biotech or pharmaceutical product in the US marketplace.
  • Proven ability to grow the value of a business and to deliver against aggressive commercial goals.
  • High analytical capability with history of effectively directing and leveraging market research and developing, tracking, and acting on performance metrics and market insights.
  • A fierce and motivating competitive spirit and demonstrated track record of outmaneuvering and winning against the competition in manner that is aligned with Myovant values and rules of compliance.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams and have the managerial courage to make and stand by difficult decisions.
  • Highly-skilled in influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, confident executive presence, and ability to communicate with and influence the Executive Team.
  • Record of attracting and developing strong marketing talent both internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop others.

REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • BA or BS, MBA preferred

Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and 7-10 years total across key commercial functions such as marketing, commercial operations, market access and/or Sales.
  • Deep experience in key customer marketing and working with KOLs is a plus.

Travel
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
