Job Details
The Marketing Senior Manager, US HCP, Neuroscience will report into the HCP Brand Director and will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing key elements of an insights-based HCP marketing strategy critical to commercial success of Aimovig, Amgen's first preventive migraine treatment.
Critical to the role will be developing and evangelizing an in-depth understanding of those HCPs who treat migraine and defining and executing opportunities to ensure the brand's value proposition is pulled through at all high impact touchpoints. The US HCP Senior Marketing Manager will be a critical business driver and facilitator across a broad cross-functional team that includes internal and external partners, and our commercialization partner, Novartis. The HCP Senior Manager will also lead and handle the development and carry through of Aimovig brand presence in Primary Care.
Up to 40% travel required
Responsibilities:
Develop a Deep Customer Understanding
- Build a deep and connected understanding of HCP motivation and behavior in the migraine space
- Act as the voice of the HCP, translating HCP and market insights into a rich and empathetic HCP brand narrative
- Develop and own strategy for driving near term and long-term demand
- Partner with the field facing organization and the OL community to shape strategy and pull through
- Be the Amgen point to ensure a high impact rollout and of brand strategy at semester meetings
- Collaborate with the Aimovig alliance team to build messaging and tools that resonate with target HCPs
- Build relationships with critical partners such as Novartis, Opinion Leader engagement, consumer marketing, value & access, medical and corporate affairs
- Drive harmony with Global Marketing team efforts to progress the brand in the US market
- Ensure that opportunities to better engage our customers and field partners, a result of our changing times, are leveraged to ensure we are driving high impact engagements
- Develop strong partnership with Marketing Operations to build and use HCP marketing methodologies across brands
- Lead relevant agency partners to hold them accountable to the highest standards of performance
- Lead key HCP-related assets through legal/regulatory approvals
- Proactive management of marketing budget
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 plus years of Marketing and/or Sales including 3 years of Marketing experience
- Experience in developing and executing on strategic plans
- Concrete experience of strong organizational and communication skills and building relationships via collaborating with customers, both internal and external
- Healthcare/Pharmaceutical commercial experience
- Technical marketing competencies: Marketplace/customer analysis and insight generation, segmentation, brand positioning, brand sustainability (campaign/message platform development)
- Strong communication effectiveness: The ability to engage, connect, and influence senior management and the sales and marketing organizations across both Amgen and our commercialization partner
- Ability to translate and communicate sophisticated information/strategies/partners into simple and impactful plans
