The Regional Director - Mid Atlantic, is a key leadership role with the Oncology franchise and will focus on the recruitment, mentorship, developing and retaining the Oncology Account Specialist team. The RD will ensure strong and consistent sales performance that exceeds forecast and expectations relating to product goals and driving accountability for all results throughout the West Region, allowing Regeneron to have a major presence in the marketplace. We expect the successful candidate will work closely with their Alliance partner counterpart(s) to insure full collaboration and openness within the region. We always focus on doing what is right, and expect you will act in a compliant manner and with integrity. This region includes: WV, VA, MD, DC, NJ, PA

A typical day may be:
• Build and develop a robust, high integrity, high quality sales team and provide overall leadership to the team. Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding assigned sales objectives and ensuring actions plans are aligned to the critical initiatives of the team.
• Lead regional sales force activities including hiring, training, performance evaluation and development while ensuring compliance to corporate policies.
• Ensure each employee is trained on and will effectively implement customer education, and ensure your team is kept up to date for all industry and competitor product knowledge. Ensure strong, consistent performance that consistently meet or exceed launch objectives, brand objectives and product sales goals
• Analyze sales and customer data to ensure appropriate resources are deployed in the region. Allocate and be responsible for the region's budget and utilization of promotional resources
• In collaboration with Sanofi Genzyme, ensure coordination and collaboration with all resources within the field teams to support commercial success (e.g. Industry Related Congresses, Medical Conferences, and Speaker Programs etc.).
• Build the Company's credibility and relationships with key customers (e.g. Regional, local clinical specialists, advocacy groups etc.) and their staff.
• Execute an Incentive Compensation plan for field team in accordance with corporate objectives and within guidelines in a compliant manner.
• Partner with multiple internal colleagues to proactively analyze and address market dynamics and trends that support brand and collaboration objectives.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of the Payer environment, reimbursement and challenges within payer markets including: government programs, managed health care and evolving health care systems.
• Execute key aspects of strategic account management activities for specific key accounts within region in coordination with OAS'sand ensure plans, resources, and performance objectives for the accounts are improved.

This role might be for you if you possess the following:

Demonstrated success and positive track record of performance with a high degree of integrity as a Regional Director/District Manager in complex markets within complex systems. A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree or other higher education / certification is a plus (Focused degree in science or clinical experience is a plus). You will have a Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with 5 years of sales leadership/management of which 3 years must be at the Regional Director/District Manager in the field of Oncology; Experience in the NSCLC and dermatologic cancer markets is preferred; product launch a plus. Experience in Biologics and buy and bill products or strong confirmed experience in Oncology required. You are a true leader, with an eye for hiring and developing top talent. A strong understanding of reimbursement (buy and bill) and the payer environment, including government programs is encouraged. We would seek a consistent track record of success in developing physician/customer clinical specialists in a Regional scope required. We are seeking an analytical and strategic problem solver. Extensive travel is required.
