The Strategic Planning & Operations Senior Manager is responsible for partnering with Inflammation & Nephrology Business Unit (INBU) brand teams and sales force partners to drive pull through of critical initiatives, behavioral objectives and tactics. The Senior Manager will lead speaker program and congress management, drive cross-functional special projects and deliver business insights through advanced data analysis.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Support INBU brand teams and sales staff with strategy development and execution through cross-functional partnerships
  • Own and drive sophisticated data analysis initiatives which generate impactful and meaningful insights
  • Drive alignment, planning and execution of national and regional congresses, and ensure compliance standards are met
  • Support brand teams in the development of speaker bureau programming, and provide senior leadership with potential opportunities to improve program effectiveness through quantitative analysis
  • Provide regular reports, dashboards and presentations that clearly summarize status, results and implications/recommendations to key partners to inform decision making
  • Implement innovative and efficient process improvements as needed
  • Turn unstructured business issues/requests into appropriate action plans and projects that result in high quality, meaningful and impactful deliverables
  • Deploy 'best in class' project management on all initiatives including 'special projects' as needed
  • Effectively resolve issues, drive decisions, and appropriately and quickly raise issues
  • Own, build and maintain strong relationships with partners; seeking consensus and provide on-going collaboration and consultation to inform how best to address business needs
  • Assist in interactions at senior level forums as needed


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing, Project Management and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing, Project Management and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing, Project Management and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing, Project Management and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing, Project Management and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in business or life sciences, 5+ years directly relevant experience
  • Advanced analytical skills-ability to translate disparate and sometimes ambiguous data sets into meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Fluency in project management methodology, best standards and tools
  • Demonstrated ability in providing leadership that motivates cross-functional teams to advance complex projects to completion
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically to support key business decisions
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, influencing, problem-solving and change management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Superior ability to work in a self-directed manner while balancing a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing demands
  • Projects a positive, 'can do' attitude and eagerly contribute to all initiatives as needed and requested
