Position Summary:

The Latin America Regional Partnerships role will facilitate a collaborative and productive working environment with GBT's Latin America commercial partner (to be selected). This is key role within the Global Commercial Planning Team that will work with our selected Latin America partner to execute on commercialization strategy, joint roadmaps, ensure that the partner operates in accordance with contract terms, while coordinating with key functions within GBT to ensure success of the collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

These may include but are not limited to:
  • Lead onboarding and integration of partner into GBT and manage day-to-day relationships
  • Participate in partner's strategy, tactical, and business planning process, ensuring alignment with GBT vision and compliance
  • Drive the execution of productive, collaborative partnership with our Latin America partner in accordance with contractual terms, to achieve mutually agreed upon business results
  • Ensure impeccable execution and timely delivery of collaboration milestones by aligning internal and external stakeholders
  • Broaden and deepen existing relationship to discover additional areas of strategic collaboration
  • Establish regular communication with partners, governance committees and other key stakeholders
  • Establishing credibility, trust, and respect with the partner organization
  • Maintain a constructive attitude and fosters a positive, solution-oriented environment
  • Prepares the GBT team for governance committee meetings. Supports the development of meeting objectives and agendas, coordinates and creates meeting slide content, and negotiates and records minutes and action items. Attends all committee meetings and other partnership meetings as necessary
  • Proactively identifies potential challenges within the Alliance and works with internal and external partners to implement risk mitigation plans
  • May require a flexible work schedule outside of standard business hours due to partner time zone differences. Up to 20% travel may be required

  • Master's degree in related discipline and ten years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries
  • Commercially oriented experience preferred. Latin America experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in partnerships, alliance management (financial, regulatory, supply, quality considerations), co-promotes or project management
